Shayne & Shanelle Benette from Australia

Shayne and Shanelle have been married for 47 years and have three married children and eleven grandchildren. They met at a youth prayer meeting when they were teenagers, married young, and lived all of their married life in the Emmanuel Community. Both Shanelle and Shayne have taken on a variety of leadership roles in the community and in the year 2000, Shayne was elected to the role of Moderator. They have had a lifelong commitment to the service of the Church, particularly through the Catholic Charismatic Renewal serving in prayer groups, communities, as well as teaching and preaching in retreats and conferences both locally and internationally. Both Shanelle and Shayne have served as Directors of NET Ministries (Shayne 1988-2004 & Shanelle 2004-2011). Shanelle has recently retired from an Executive Mission Leadership role and is now serving in the areas of Counselling and Healing Prayer Ministry. Shayne continues in his role as Director of Mission and Faith Formation at the Holy Spirit Seminary. In 2019, he was appointed the Dicastery of Laity, Family and Life as the Oceania representative on the CHARIS International Service of Communion. He is also Coordinator of the Commission for Communities which serves the development of charismatic communities around the world. In 2019, Shanelle and Shayne were awarded the Pro Ecclesia et Pontiface Cross Pope Francis for their service to the Church.

Pat & Kym Keady from Australia

Pat Keady is the Moderator of Emmanuel Community, a charismatic community in Brisbane Australia in which he has helped shape number of spearhead ministries over the last 25 years. As a renewal leader, author, speaker and songwriter, Pat’s passion is for evangelization, worship, creativity and renewal in the Catholic Church. He and his wife Kym have both served on staff with NET Australia and are extremely proud of their three adult children and emerging grandkids. Kym Keady is the Director of Ignite Youth and a senior leader of the Emmanuel Community in Brisbane. She has 30 years ministry experience working in a variety of settings, from youth ministry to pastoral care, event planning, leadership formation, ministering to parents, women’s ministry and community building.  As a counsellor, speaker, wife, mum and Nana, Kym is passionate about communicating the gospel in authentic and relevant ways especially to young people, which is what inspired her to found Real Talk. Kym is completing her Masters in Leadership and Theology. Kym’s driving value is her family, which fuels her ongoing passion to renew the Church for future generations.

Fred & Pauline Mawanda from Uganda

Fred and Pauline have been married for 25 years and they have four children. For the last twenty-five years Fred has been involved in the new evangelization in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR). He was the Diocesan Coordinator of the CCR in Masaka from 1994 to 2007. He handed that over and helped to start several youth ministries in Uganda, including the National Evangelization Teams that he started in 2003 and led for 12 years and handed that over to another leader in 2016. He has helped establish the Catholic Christian Outreach on University Campuses in Uganda and established the Catholic Schools Youth Ministry. He was the Moderator for 25 years of a Charismatic Covenant Community called Holy Trinity Community in Masaka Diocese. He served on the Executive Committee of the Catholic Fraternity from 2007 to 2016. He is involved in many evangelization, education, and poverty alleviation initiatives. He is currently the CISC representative for English Speaking Africa and is passionate about Empowering and Raising up Leaders, Youth and Education.
